How to Choose a Pressure Washing Co.

Chances are, choosing a pressure washing company isn’t something you’ve previously spent a lot of time thinking about. In fact, there’s a good chance that until you’ve found yourself in the recent situation that brought you to clicking on the title of this blog, you may have not even known that there was such a thing as a pressure washing company. Yet now, here you are. You’re reading this article, so presumably something has changed so that you’re not only aware of the wide world of pressure washing companies, you’re now trying to figure out how to choose one. Never fear! We’re more than happy to explain some of the factors you should take into consideration, and because we ARE a pressure washing company, we encourage you to give us a call and ask about each of these items and more.

Don’t Go for the Cheapest - We certainly work to make sure our prices are fair and affordable, but chances are you’ve come across at least a few companies that have prices that are far below anyone else you’ve looked. Well, it’s worth remembering that some things are too good to be believed. Unfortunately, these are often companies that will cut corners, either not doing a complete job or use substandard equipment. While it is certainly worthwhile looking for a competitive quote, beware prices that are abnormally low.

Get a fully inclusive quote- When looking for a quote, make sure you understand what’s all involved with that quote. Also ask questions about what the process will look like once the job begins, making sure that the quote you’re given isn’t made competitive by leaving out items for a surprise later on.

Equipment- Make sure you ask questions about the equipment being used. Look up and verify the information you’ve been given. It’s easy to set yourself up as a pressure washing company using the cheapest model you can buy at the local Wally World. Unfortunately, these machines, purchased for less than $60 are barely better than sticking your thumb over the end of a hose and hoping for the best.

Experience- Ask questions about how long they’ve been in business. When they show up to give you a quote, ask about what choices they might make when working on your home and why. Ask not only how long they’ve been in the business, but what they’ve learned. What kinds of jobs have they done? Get a feel for what sets them apart from the rest.

Insurance- Liability insurance is a bare minimum. What happens if something is damaged in the process of cleaning? If someone is hurt while working on your property, are you protected? What processes do they have set up and what paperwork will you need to sign?

Independent Reviews-Finally, don’t take our word for it, ask around. See if the company can provide customer referrals. Check to see what reviews on Google or services like Angie’s List have to say. These are third party reviews that the company you’re looking at has no control over, and will give you a better idea of what you’re working with. Remember that there are two sides to every story, though. Make sure to read multiple reviews, not jumping to assumptions based on just one statement.

Overall, these are only ideas of how to start the process of choosing a pressure washing company. Asking good questions is a great way to get started, but get to know the provider you’r working with. Make sure that the crew you’re working with are professionals who know what they’re doing and have the tools they need to get the job done. And we certainly hope you give us a call in the process!
