Pressure Washing Your Playground

Pressure Washing Your Playground

Playground structures are no longer isolated to public parks or school playgrounds. Today, parents are investing in recreational equipment for their children right in their own backyards.  These structures can be very costly. They can range from the simplest swing set or a complex clubhouse that any child would love. While a personal playground is very nice to have, it is not maintenance free.

While adorable, kids can be magnets to all things dirt and mud related. The playground area will be exposed to; food and drink spills, gum, candy and other sticky substances, mud pies and dirt decorations. Not only this, but you also have the open exposure of animals that decide to show interest at night. These animals often leave little presents like waste behind.

Kids and animals are not the only culprits to the equipment not being up to par. It is also exposed to weather and other environmental conditions that can cause accumulation of mold, mildew, algae, and/or moss. The growth and spreading of mold and moss can alter the attractiveness of your playground area and overall home. In addition, if gone untreated this can cause a dangerous situation for the children.  Your family will be exposed to mold, mildew, and other allergens that can lead to respiratory issues. The surface can become very slippery causing the children to fall or cause injuries.

No need to worry though. Pressure washing is the answer to all the issues mentioned above. Your equipment will shine brightly. You will also have the ease of knowing that the antibacterial cleaner has sanitized any unpleasantness so that your child’s health is not at risk.

Don’t forget: No matter if your equipment is metal, wooden, or even plastic, a routine cleaning will give you peace of mind to know that the growth of mold, etc.,  is controlled and you are providing a safer environment for your children. To be sure that your equipment is up to your standards, you should schedule a clean once (if not twice) a year.
